One method of carpet cleaning is the Bonnet Method. In this method a rotary buffer is fitted with a soft pile brush and is used to collect dirt out of your carpeting. It likes you are using a floor buffer on your carpet. Like other new methods a cleaning solutions is used to pre-treat the carpet, but shampoos are not recommended because they leave residue. You are also supposed to vacuum your carpet before hand. So you have to clean it before you clean it.
This method involves:
- Vacuuming your carpet.
- Applying a pre-treatment solution.
- Do a little pre-scrubbing with a grooming brush or a soft pile solution brush.
- Clean the carpet with the buffer, changing the pads as they get dirty.
- After using the buffer, clean up any standalone stains that didn’t come out.
- Work the carpet with a grooming brush or rake
